Destination 1: Canberra

The capital of Australia attracts international tourists not only for its House of Parliament but also for its exciting exhibitions. However, a tour through the nation’s political centre is highly recommended to learn about Australia's political system. Anyone who follows the latest technological trends should visit the exciting exhibitions at the National Science and Technology Centre, called Questacon. For more attractions, The Canberra Glassworks offers visitors interesting exhibitions by world-class artists and live glassblowing. Meet professional glass artists and watch what happens behind the scenes. The Australian War Memorial is located here to learn more about Australia’s impressive contributions to the 20th century’s war effort and was recently voted Australia’s number one landmark.

Destination 2: Melbourne

Melbourne is the second largest city in Australia is the country’s sporting and culture capital. Get yourself a ticket at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and watch international cricket players play in one the world’s most important Cricket venues or visit the superb National Sports Museum. The central business district, known as Hoddle Grid, attracts visitors with its historic streets and arcades. Stroll down Degraves Street and explore the beautiful arcades and street art that can be admired at countless corners. Indulge yourself with Ben Shewry's unique tasting menu and enjoy the best coffee in town at Brother Baba Budan. Other top attractions are the St. Kilda Pier and nearby Brighton Bathing Boxes that are sure to impress.

Destination 3: Warrnambool

The Miura Friendship Garden, built in honour of the sister-city of Miura, Japan showcases the connection between Australia and Japan, starting with the elevated drooping she-oak forest. Nearby is the Tower Hill State Game Reserve which is located in an extinct volcano and offers visitors a chance to see koalas, kangaroos, emus and more. Recent years have also shown a dramatic increase in the number of extraordinary street art that can be admired as you explore the town on foot. Be sure to visit Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village, a reproduction of an 1870s port town with its shipwreck museum and heritage-listed lighthouse.

Destination 4: Naracoorte

Naracoorte, on the way to Adelaide, is known for its unique cave system. Along the limestone coast, you’ll find the Blanche Cave and the Victoria Fossil Cave in the Naracoorte Caves National Park (a World Heritage site). A superb tourist attraction, dive into an underworld full of breath-taking dinosaur fossils. Bool Lagoon, which is also a part of the limestone coast, offers a great variety of wildlife as well as many rare and endangered bird species. The Sheep’s Back Museum and Mini Jumbuk Factory offer tourists a charming visit and explain the importance of wool to the settlement of the area.

Destination 5: Kangaroo Island

Wonderful nature walks abound on this island, from long and difficult to short and easy. For casual walks, try out the Sculpture trail and Shipwreck trail. For the more adventurous, try your hand at the famous Flinders Chase Coastal Trek - a 3-day hike from Cape Borda to West Bay. A visit to the Kangaroo Island Distillery, known for their gins, are sure to delight your taste buds. Remarkables Rock and Admiral’s Arch offer superb photo opportunities of the landscapes and local marine life. No trip is complete without visiting the Seal Bay Conservation Park, featuring Australia’s most important sea lion breeding colony.
