The TourlaneCare Basic is included with every booking at no extra cost. For added peace of mind, you can upgrade to TourlaneCare Flex for an additional fee and enjoy greater flexibility with your booking, based on the terms outlined below. Review our options below to find the best fit for you.

TourlaneCare Basic

Our standard option that’s automatically included with your reservation, at no additional cost.

CHANGES With TourlaneCare Basic, you can make changes to part or all of your trip up to 30 days before departure. A change fee of $50 per person will apply, along with any difference in price for the updated travel arrangements. Please note that refunds of the original trip price are not available.

CANCELLATION If you cancel your entire trip, cancellation fees will be charged depending on the period before your departure:

• Up to 45 days before departure: 20% of the booking amount

• 44 to 30 days before departure: 30% of the booking amount

• 29 to 20 days before departure: 45% of the booking amount

• 19 to 14 days before departure: 75% of the booking amount

• 13 to 7 days before departure: 85% of the booking amount

• Less than 7 days or no-show: 90% of the booking amount

TourlaneCare Flex

Add TourlaneCare Flex to your reservation and enjoy greater flexibility for any reason.

CHANGES With TourlaneCare Flex, you can make a one-time change or cancel your trip free of charge up to 30 days before departure. For changes, you’ll only need to pay any difference in price for the new travel arrangements. After using your one-time Flex change, any further changes will follow the terms of TourlaneCare Basic. Refunds of the original trip price are not available. If you use TourlaneCare Flex to cancel your trip, the improved cancellation terms outlined below will apply.

CANCELLATION With TourlaneCare Flex, you can cancel your trip at no cost up to 30 days before departure. If you cancel after that, cancellation fees will apply based on how close you are to your departure date, as outlined in the schedule below:

• 29 to 20 days before departure: 45% of the booking amount

• 19 to 14 days before departure: 75% of the booking amount

• 13 to 7 days before departure: 85% of the booking amount

• Less than 7 days or no-show: 90% of the booking amount

UPGRADE FEE You can add TourlaneCare Flex to your booking for an additional fee. The exact cost depends on your total trip price and will be confirmed by your travel advisor upon request. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid with your initial deposit.

AVAILABILITY The TourlaneCare Flex option is valid only for land services (excluding flights). As of December 1, 2023, the TourlaneCare Flex option is available for all destinations, except Tanzania, Kenya, and Namibia.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER TourlaneCare Flex is not an insurance product but an optional service that gives you flexibility to change your mind for any reason up to 30 days before your trip start date. If you add the TourlaneCare Flex option to your booking, we waive our normal cancellation and change fees for cancellations or booking changes you request up to 30 days before your trip's start date. TourlaneCare Flex is independent of, and not a substitute for, any travel insurance you may purchase from an insurance company. TourlaneCare Flex does not reimburse you for any third-party costs or other financial losses. TourlaneCare Flex is not applicable to flights included in your booking. The TourlaneCare Flex fee is non-refundable.
