Your tailor-made itinerary – No cost, no commitment
Europe is a continent of constant reinvention. From the golden light of the Mediterranean in September and the snow-dusted Christmas markets of December to the wildflowers of the Alps in May, every month offers a distinct way to experience the continent. Whether you are looking for winter sun, cultural city breaks without the crowds, or the perfect summer beach escape, our monthly travel calendar helps you find the right destination at the right time. Explore our guides below to start planning your tailor-made journey.
Spring in Europe offers a dynamic progression of experiences, transforming from the quiet awakening of March into the vibrant warmth of May. Early in the season, destinations like Crete, Cyprus, and Andalusia provide a welcome escape with the continent's first mild days and almond blossoms, while the Italian Riviera and Mallorca offer peaceful hiking trails before the summer crowds arrive. By April, the landscape bursts into full color; the Netherlands showcases its famous tulips at Keukenhof, Tuscany’s hills turn a lush green, and the Scottish Highlands glow under brighter skies. As the season matures into May, the atmosphere shifts toward early summer, making it the perfect time to explore the turquoise coves of Puglia and the Greek Cyclades, or enjoy the long, sunlit evenings in Paris and Lisbon. Whether you seek the solitude of early wildflowers in Ireland or the lively outdoor café culture of Provence, spring offers a perfect balance of comfortable weather and authentic local charm.
Summer in Europe unfolds as a season of vibrant energy and boundless daylight, beginning with the fresh promise of June. This early summer month strikes a perfect balance, offering the “midnight sun” adventures of Iceland and the Norwegian fjords alongside the sun-drenched but not-yet-crowded coasts of the Amalfi Riviera and Portugal’s Algarve. As July arrives, the continent hits its peak; travelers flock to the glittering French Riviera and the Greek Cyclades for warm seas, while others seek the refreshing alpine air of the Dolomites or the lush, green landscapes of Ireland’s west coast. By August, the summer rhythm is at its liveliest, inviting joyous island-hopping in Sicily and lively festivals in the Basque Country, though those seeking solitude and cooler temperatures can find a perfect refuge in the wild beauty of Scotland’s Outer Hebrides or the dramatic peaks of the Swiss Alps.
Autumn in Europe evolves from a season of golden warmth into one of cozy introspection, starting with the gentle transition of September. This month extends the summer’s best qualities, offering warm seas and uncrowded beaches in Crete and the Alentejo Coast, while harvest season brings a rich, golden glow to the vineyards of Tuscany and the hills of Provence. October deepens the seasonal drama; the landscapes of Scotland and Slovenia’s Lake Bled ignite with fiery autumn foliage, while the Mediterranean south—from Sicily’s baroque towns to Andalusia’s olive groves—remains pleasantly mild for cultural exploration. By November, the continent settles into a quieter, more atmospheric rhythm, inviting travelers to enjoy the intimate charm of Rome and Lisbon without the crowds, hunt for truffles in the Italian countryside, or witness the first stirrings of the Northern Lights over Iceland’s cooling volcanic plains.
Winter in Europe is a season of striking contrasts, moving from festive enchantment to serene retreats. December begins with a magical holiday spirit, where Strasbourg's Christmas markets and Rome’s illuminated piazzas create a cozy atmosphere, while the sunny coasts of Madeira and the Canary Islands offer a warm escape from the cold. As the new year arrives in January, the crowds disperse, revealing a quieter, more intimate side of the continent; it's the perfect time to explore the ancient ruins of Athens and Paphos in peace, or to witness the dramatic beauty of the Northern Lights in Iceland. By February, the days begin to lengthen, bringing the vibrant energy of Carnival to Cádiz and Venice, while the French Alps beckon skiers to their snowy peaks and the almond blossoms of southern Europe hint at the coming spring. Whether you seek the thrill of winter sports, the warmth of southern sun, or the rich traditions of the holiday season, winter offers a diverse and memorable European journey.

Trip to the Greek islands
We planned a nearly three-week trip to Greece and the Greek islands with Jonas Walot and thoroughly enjoyed not having to worry about anything. This was especially pleasant because we visited four different islands and Athens beforehand, which meant a lot of transfers, all of which were superbly organized by Tourlane. We were able to enjoy our vacation to the fullest and always had a local contact person. It was tailored exactly to our wishes and, above all, planned at fairly short notice because we simply didn't have much time to deal with the planning—Jonas really took all the work off our hands, so we could focus solely on the trip itself! We'll definitely do it again :)

Trip to Portugal

Trip to Italy

Trip to Ireland

Trip to Scotland
Portugal was our third rental car tour that we booked through Tourlane. The needs of travelers are carefully assessed and taken into account in the planning. The trip is designed and prepared according to your personal budget. The travel app is also well designed and very helpful. The airport pickup, including hotel transfer, worked perfectly, as did the contact person in the respective country in case of any problems. Tourlane kindly covered an unjustified additional charge from the car rental company. Thank you to Ms. Williams for handling this matter so smoothly. All in all, I would book another trip with Tourlane anytime.
Lara has organized my Italy trip for summer with my family. She had some many great ideas and provided so much information about the different regions. I´m really looking forward! Thank you Lara :-)
Tourlane is special. They really take into account your needs and wishes. They are very experienced in the specific area and have ideas and suggestions that are not widely spread all over the place.
We had the best trip of our life and can recommend Tourlane as your travel partner / agency. From the first contact, to planning and the concierge service during the trip. 5 stars rating!
