Day 8 - 10
The vibrant metropolis of Milan is the capital of Italy’s Lombardy region in northern Italy. Always at the forefront of international fashion, Milan’s sleek, glamorous facade has earned it a reputation for superficiality and excessive consumerism. However, beneath the surface lies a treasure trove of historical and architectural wonders—from its magnificent Gothic churches, Baroque mansions, and Art Nouveau palazzos to the striking modern skyscrapers of the Porta Nuova financial district. Must-see landmarks include the spectacular Milan Cathedral (Duomo), the glass-vaulted Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and of course, La Scala—one of the world’s most renowned opera houses. Milan offers something for everyone: those in search of high-end designer shopping will be more than satisfied, as will visitors interested in fascinating historical sites and extraordinary architectural achievements.

The city is not only the setting of the Shakespearean tragedy, but it is also been declared from the UNESCO part of the World Heritage. It set its origins in the Roman Age, boasting up to two millenniums of history. Verona is not very big and can be visited in one day. With your English speaking local guide, you will discover with an enchanting walking tour the main sites and the pedestrian areas of the city historical center. The monument most famous is the Arena, built during the first century AD, it is the symbol of the city. You can enjoy the visit inside the arena, where your guide will let you learn about its antique origin and how it has been used during the centuries. Passing through the Roman Borsari’s gate you will reach the historical city centre, then reach the Lamberti’s Tower in Piazza delle Erbe, the antique Roman Foro. The tower was built by the important Lamberti family during 11th century. Just next to Piazza delle Erbe you will find Piazza dei Signori, known also as Piazza Dante because of the presence of a Dante Alighieri’s statue in the middle of it. The square is surrounded by monumental buildings linked by arches and loggias. The next important point of interest is the Maria Matricolare’s Cathedral, it is the main church of the city and a great example of Romanic architecture. Here you can find the Titian masterpiece: The Assumption of the Virgin. The tour will pass by Juliet’s house where you can admire the famous balcony, and the Juliet’s bronze statue (which you should touch for good luck!). Just after your guided tour, you will have some free time for shopping and taste some of the local dishes for lunch. We will also be happy to suggest you some of the best restaurants and cafés. After lunch, your private driver will collect you and transfer you back to your hotel of Milan.
