The White Villages and Ronda excursion is the geographic moment that defines the Andalusia chapter, and it's one I'd never cut. The approach to Ronda across the limestone plateau and the view from the Puente Nuevo over the Tajo gorge deliver a landscape no city walking tour replicates. The olive oil tasting at a Mykonian farm takes you into the island's agricultural interior, well away from the windmills and waterfront cafés that most visitors never leave; it's a side of the Cyclades that consistently surprises. For the Crete jeep safari, ask for the route that crosses the Amari Valley toward Spili: the mountain villages, working olive groves, and gorge approach back to the coast give you the island's interior character in a way the coastal road never does.

Resting on the exquisite Costa del Sol in the south of Spain, Malaga is a bustling port city known for its yellow-sand beaches lined with luxury high-rise hotels and resorts. For many visitors, Malaga is simply a gateway to the beach resorts of the Costa del Sol, but those who linger will find a cosmopolitan cultural hub complete with a thriving art scene, a slew of fascinating museums and an endless array of culinary delights. Presiding over the city’s modern skyline are two enormous ancient hilltop citadels, the ruined Gibralfaro and the 11th-century Moorish palace of Alcazaba, which holds several ancient artefacts. Other must-see sights include an impressive Renaissance Cathedral, the beautiful remains of an old Roman theatre, and La Conception Botanical and Historical Garden, offering lovely panoramic views of the city below.

Upon arrival in Gibraltar, a local guide will meet you and take you on a guided city tour. You’ll visit the Gibraltar harbor, the walled old town, Europa Point, and St. Michael’s Cave. Then, you’ll climb to the highest publicly accessible point on the Rock of Gibraltar. From there, enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean, Spain, and Morocco. This is particularly apparent in areas at the foot of the Acropolis, Anafiotika, Plaka, Monastiraki, and Thissio where visitors will find numerous extraordinary Neoclassical buildings, trendy and traditional cafes, and shops, and narrow winding streets with historical treasures at every turn. Day 10 - 11
Out of all of the Cyclades - the group of islands that surround the sacred Greek island of Delos - Mykonos is perhaps the most famous. It is known for its gorgeous green rolling hills, exquisite beaches and the glamorous, cosmopolitan crowd that typically vacations here. While Mykonos makes for an ideal base for archaeological day trips to the nearby islands, the island itself has plenty to offer. Spend your days exploring the quaint winding alleyways strewn with iconic whitewashed houses; sailing around the picturesque harbour and out into the glistening Aegean Sea; unwinding on the idyllic beaches, and dining in the numerous fine restaurants. If it’s unforgettable nightlife, a bit of luxury, and plenty of natural beauty you are after, Mykonos is undoubtedly the destination for you.

Olive oil has been at the heart of Greek culture and cuisine since ancient times. Homer praised it as “Liquid Gold,” while Hippocrates called it the “Great Healer.” Rich in antioxidants, fatty acids, and vitamins, it is considered the healthiest fat on earth and a cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet.
In this activity, you will be guided by expert olive oil taster Anita Zachou to explore the aromas and flavors of some of Greece’s finest Extra Virgin Olive Oils. You’ll learn how to taste properly, understand what makes an oil “extra virgin,” and describe it using terms like fruity, bitter, and spicy. You’ll also discover how to identify high-quality oils versus defective ones, and gain insights into the health and beauty benefits of Extra Virgin Olive Oil that can enhance your daily life.

The picturesque Greek town of Rethymno, set on the honey-coloured shores of the northern coast of Crete, offers a rare combination of history and modern-day luxury, with its ornate Venetian-era old town, tropical beaches, welcoming warm water, and mouth-watering Cretan cuisine. Rethymno provides a lively atmosphere and an eclectic mix of architectural gems. Explore alluring museums, beautiful churches, and historically significant landmarks. Most iconic among these are the magical Fortezza of Rethymno, the insightful Archeological Museum, the striking Guora Gate, and the magnificent Municipal Garden. In the heart of the magical old town lies the picture-perfect Venetian Harbour (possibly the most romantic area of the city), travellers can enjoy tavern-lined streets and admire the views over the azure, boat-bobbed waters.

On this tour we would like to introduce you to the secrets of the production of wine and olives through a safari tour that will forever stay in your memories!
Our safari drive begins after we pick you up from your hotel or accommodation, heading towards the Terra Creta olive oil mill for a tour and olive oil tasting. As our day tour continues, we will visit Karavitakis winery for wine tasting accompanied by interesting information, for example the secrets of high longevity in Crete!
Afterwards, we head to the village of Ano Vouves to marvel at the ancient olive tree (3,000 years old) and learn about the history of olives. Our off-road adventure starts as we head towards Sebronas village and cross a gorge with a picturesque creek nestled amongst lush vegetation and panoramic views. Along the gorge, we will have plenty of opportunities to take photos of picturesque chapels, sheep, goats, bees, sprawling vineyards, and gorgeous olive groves.
After working up an appetite, we arrive at a small village tavern in Nea Roumata, where we will introduce you to Cretan cuisine with plenty of local food and let you feel the very essence of the renowned Cretan hospitality. On the way back, we will follow an easy asphalt route through orange and lemon trees before reaching Chania town again.

Porto opens the trip on the Atlantic edge of the Iberian Peninsula, and from there the journey moves south through Andalusia and east across the Mediterranean to Athens, Mykonos, and Crete. The Gibraltar day trip from Seville is a strong inclusion — standing on the Rock above the Strait, with Africa visible across the water and two seas meeting below, is a genuinely unusual vantage point that few European itineraries offer.
My go-to recommendation for Rethymno: the old town rewards an early morning before the harbor cafés fill up. The Venetian loggia, the carved doorways, and the quiet lanes behind the Rimondi Fountain are the most honest version of a Cretan town that tourism has touched but not entirely changed.
Hotel: TURIM Oporto Hotel
Two nights with the city tour, the fado evening, and the port wine tasting. The Ribeira waterfront and the lodge cellars across the Dom Luís I Bridge together give Porto's two defining traditions — the river and the wine — proper space.
Hotel: Casa Romana Hotel Boutique
Three nights in the Santa Cruz quarter with the tapas tour, the monumental walking tour, the Ronda and White Villages excursion, and the Gibraltar day trip. The Cathedral and the Alcázar are both best visited early before the organized tours arrive. The Ronda excursion is the scenic high point of the Seville section — the town above the El Tajo gorge is a physical experience that no description fully prepares you for.
Hotel: Barceló Malaga
Two nights with the Picasso Museum, the historic center, and the seaside promenade. The Muelle Uno waterfront and the Gibralfaro views reward the time between organized visits.
Hotel: Fresh Hotel
Two nights with the Acropolis and museum visit on the first day. The Fresh Hotel's rooftop pool with its direct Acropolis sightline is worth using for a drink before dinner. The Plaka and Monastiraki neighborhoods fill the second day at an enjoyable pace.
Hotel: Vencia Boutique Hotel
Two nights with the Mykonian farm experience — olive oil tasting, traditional setting — and time for the beaches and the waterfront. Getting into Mykonos Town early on the first morning, before the lanes fill, changes how the island reads. The Vencia Boutique sits in the town center with the waterfront a short walk away.
Hotel: Grecotel Plaza Beach House
Three nights with the jeep safari, the Venetian harbor and old town, and the beaches. The jeep safari through the olive groves and mountain villages reveals a Crete that the coastal towns don't show, and the local wine and olive oil experiences along the way make it the most distinctive day of the final section.
The best time to visit these countries depends on your preferences and what you plan to do. The shoulder seasons of spring and fall are generally recommended for pleasant weather and fewer crowds. Summer is ideal for beaches, but expect more visitors and higher prices.

Very friendly and knowledgeable advisor
Top travel company—we’d book again anytime. My travel consultant was very friendly: I shared what we had in mind, and she planned the trip for us. She was also able to make adjustments when something didn’t quite fit—everything went perfectly. Afterwards, customer service took care of us and was quick to help. The trip itself was a dream. It’s also worth mentioning that we had a local guide we could message with any questions. Excellent support, and the Tourlane app was perfect—everything we needed right at hand on our phone. Many thanks to everyone who supported us on this trip.
