Starting in Sagres rather than a Portuguese city is the geographic decision that gives this circuit its distinctive character. The Cabo de São Vicente lighthouse at Europe's southwestern tip and the Atlantic cliff walks around the Fortaleza set a tone that no urban opening can replicate, and arriving in Barcelona a few days later with that Atlantic register already behind you makes the Mediterranean feel genuinely different. The paella and tapas cooking class adds culinary vocabulary that travels with you; by the time you reach Venetian bacaro culture and the Mykonian farm table, you've already developed a framework for how regional food traditions work. For the Mykonos olive oil tasting, request the morning slot when the farm is active rather than set up for demonstration.

Day 1 - 3
Sagres is a scenic fishing village in the southern Algarve of Portugal, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo. Boasting four beaches, enormous cliffs, and a lovely harbour, the town is a serene favourite among outdoor enthusiasts. Praia da Mareta provides a vast stretch of soft sand, is usually sheltered and good for swimming, and is flanked by a line of excellent bars and restaurants. Praia do Tonel offers great waves for surfers, while Praia da Baleeira is reliably sheltered and Praia do Martinhal, just out of town, provides a quiet respite. History enthusiasts will enjoy visiting the 15th-century Fortaleza de Sagres, which uses three 200-foot cliffs as its walls. Make sure to visit ‘the end of the world’ - Cabo de Sao Vicente - the westernmost point of mainland Europe, was once believed to be so and offers some truly awesome views.

This picturesque village is situated in the westernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula and from its rugged cliffs you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the coast.
Enjoy this unforgettable tour with an astonishing view to the vast ocean.
Day 4 - 5
Spain’s enormous central capital, Madrid, lies on the River Manzanares and is a city of contrasts. Historical monuments like the impressive Royal Palace stand in stark contrast to state-of-the-art skyscrapers; masterpieces by Picasso, Dali and Velazquez adorn the walls of the city’s world-class galleries alongside contemporary modern works; local chefs display a passion for Spanish food at traditional eateries while chic fusion restaurants operate next door. Madrid’s real attraction lies in the seductive lifestyle of its hedonistic inhabitants; indulging in tapas, hunting for treasures at the El Rastro flea market or partying the night away in one of the many lively nightclubs. Make sure to soak up the vibrant street life of the grand, historic Plaza Mayor, Madrid's central square, and spend a leisurely afternoon on the landscaped lawns at the Parque del Buen Retiro.

Flamenco, a lively mixture of dance, song and guitar, is the heart and soul of Spain. It has developed alongside the contrasting historical influences of Arab, Jewish and gypsy cultures. Ava Gardner or Hemingway, they all loved flamenco. In this show you will enjoy the best pure flamenco in a mythical place in Madrid. Experience how heart, soul and the artists' total dedication to their craft is what it's all about.
Day 6 - 8
Set on Spain’s gorgeous southeastern coast, the capital and largest city of the Catalonia region, Barcelona, is an exquisite, seaside metropolis. With its dizzying array of architecture and its world-class galleries and museums, artistic delights abound at every corner (most strikingly in the astonishingly whimsical structures designed by the prolific modernist architect Antoni Gaudi). Explore the winding alleys of the picturesque Gothic Quarter, take in the boisterous carnival atmosphere of the world famous, tree-lined La Rambla boulevard, or go on a gastronomical adventure through the city's restaurants. Head to one of the gorgeous white sandy beaches and when the sun sets, join the eclectic all-night party scene. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the phenomenal Sagrada Familia, take in an opera at the sublime Palau de la Musica Catalana, and watch a game at the famous Camp Nou stadium.

Hotel Balmoral is located in the heart of Barcelona, offering guests a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Situated near the vibrant Passeig de Gràcia, the hotel provides easy access to Barcelona's most iconic attractions, including Gaudí's masterpieces like Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.
The elegantly designed rooms at Hotel Balmoral are equipped with all modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Each room provides a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the bustling city streets.

Hotel Balmoral features excellent facilities, including a wellness area with a sauna and massage services, perfect for unwinding after sightseeing. Additionally, the hotel's rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the cityscape, ideal for enjoying a relaxing evening drink.
Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, Hotel Balmoral offers a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service, making your stay in Barcelona truly memorable.

Meet your local guide to enjoy the most inescapable element of Spanish cuisine: Tapas tour, popular all over the world. In all Spain's cities you will find bars, taverns & markets specialized in tapas. Spend few hours escorted by an expert guide who will point out little-known cultural and gastronomic landmarks, while listening to stories and legends of this tapas culture during the tour.
Day 9 - 10
Venice is a small, unique city in Italy’s Veneto region, a historic center made up of 118 small islands in a lagoon of the Adriatic Sea, connected by a complex network of canals and footbridges. The stately palaces and ancient churches remain as fascinating reminders of what was once a major trading hub between Europe and the Orient. From the famous Gothic Doge’s Palace and the breathtaking St. Mark’s Basilica to the awe-inspiring brilliance of Titian’s Assumption altarpiece lighting up an entire cathedral, Venice has remained virtually unchanged for the past 600 years. Other must-see attractions include the Bridge of Sighs, the spectacular Peggy Guggenheim Collection (art gallery), the captivating Gallerie dell’Accademia (museum), and of course, gondola rides along the canals.

An unforgettable tour not to be missed! Discover Venice aboard a gondola! The best way to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of a city built on water is on board a gondola. As you glide through the canals of Venice, you will discover the magnificent palaces, churches, bridges, gardens and warehouses that line the city's fluid streets as the sun sets and bathes all the sights in a magical light. Embarking is possible from one of the following gondola stations: Danieli, Dogana, or Vallaresso, Bauer. Ideal for photographers.
MEETING POINT BETWEEN THE TWO COLUMNS IN PIAZZA SAN MARCO Only for Tours after 6pm (from Nov - Mar) and after 7pm (from Apr - Oct) - For earlier tours please check other tour in system "Venice - Gondola Ride & Venetian Lagoon (Daytime)"
Day 11 - 12
Dominating the Attica region of Greece, the country’s capital, Athens, is one of the oldest cities in the world. For over two and a half centuries, the astonishing Greek temples and monuments of Athens have continued to intrigue and amaze visitors from around the world. This icon of western civilization seamlessly combines ancient history with modern architecture and a surprisingly lively atmosphere. This is particularly apparent in areas at the foot of the Acropolis, Anafiotika, Plaka, Monastiraki, and Thissio where visitors will find numerous extraordinary Neoclassical buildings, trendy and traditional cafes, and shops, and narrow winding streets with historical treasures at every turn. Once you have enjoyed a history and art fix, try some mouth-watering Greek cuisine at one of the city’s fine local restaurants before indulging in the insatiable nightlife at the chic cocktail bars and waterfront dance clubs.

The tour begins in front of the Parliament in Syntagma Square where you will see the Monument of the Unknown Soldier and the change of the famous Guards. A pleasant walk will follow through the National Gardenand on to the Zappeion Hall, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's Arch. From here you will enter the Plaka area heading to the Acropolis and visit with your guide the Propylaea, the Temple of Nike, and the Parthenon, the monuments that remind us of the Glory of Ancient Athens and the Golden Age of Pericles. See also in the surrounding the Athenian Agora, the Observatory, the Hill of Democracy (Pnyx), Mars and Philoppapos Hill, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, and the Theater of Dionysus. At the end of the tour, and since you are so close, do not miss the opportunity to visit on your own the New Acropolis Museum.
The tour start time: at 09.40 from the Amalia Hotel
Group size: Max 48 pax
Day 13 - 15
Out of all of the Cyclades - the group of islands that surround the sacred Greek island of Delos - Mykonos is perhaps the most famous. It is known for its gorgeous green rolling hills, exquisite beaches and the glamorous, cosmopolitan crowd that typically vacations here. While Mykonos makes for an ideal base for archaeological day trips to the nearby islands, the island itself has plenty to offer. Spend your days exploring the quaint winding alleyways strewn with iconic whitewashed houses; sailing around the picturesque harbour and out into the glistening Aegean Sea; unwinding on the idyllic beaches, and dining in the numerous fine restaurants. If it’s unforgettable nightlife, a bit of luxury, and plenty of natural beauty you are after, Mykonos is undoubtedly the destination for you.

Olive oil has been at the heart of Greek culture and cuisine since ancient times. Homer praised it as “Liquid Gold,” while Hippocrates called it the “Great Healer.” Rich in antioxidants, fatty acids, and vitamins, it is considered the healthiest fat on earth and a cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet.
In this activity, you will be guided by expert olive oil taster Anita Zachou to explore the aromas and flavors of some of Greece’s finest Extra Virgin Olive Oils. You’ll learn how to taste properly, understand what makes an oil “extra virgin,” and describe it using terms like fruity, bitter, and spicy. You’ll also discover how to identify high-quality oils versus defective ones, and gain insights into the health and beauty benefits of Extra Virgin Olive Oil that can enhance your daily life.
Led by Anita Zachou—agricultural engineer, certified olive oil taster, holistic wellness coach, and founder of Mykonos Olive Oil Tasting—this unique experience is both educational and enjoyable, perfect to share with family and friends.

Sagres on the southwestern tip of Portugal, then Madrid, Barcelona, Venice, Athens, and Mykonos — an arc that starts at the edge of the Atlantic and ends in the Aegean. The Sagres section is what makes this itinerary distinctive. Cape St. Vincent a few miles to the north has a raw physical presence that is hard to prepare for — the cliffs drop straight into the ocean, the wind off the water is constant, and the light at that latitude in the late afternoon is unlike anything further east. It sets the trip up well.
The Mykonian farm experience — the olive oil tasting, the traditional dinner — is what separates the Mykonos section from a standard beach-and-cocktails visit. The island has a genuine agricultural tradition behind its more photographed surface, and engaging with it directly changes how the final days read.
Hotel: Memmo Baleeira Hotel
Three nights with the Algarve Segway experience, the clifftop walks, and time at the beaches around the cape. The Memmo Baleeira sits above the harbor with the Atlantic on three sides. The evenings are best spent at local restaurants on the harbor rather than anywhere more organized: fresh fish in Sagres is a direct argument for the location.
Hotel: H10 Villa de la Reina
Two nights with the flamenco show, the guided walking tour, and the historic landmarks and plazas. Two nights in Madrid means keeping things focused: the Prado and the Royal Palace are the right priorities, with the tapas bars around La Latina filling the evenings naturally.
Hotel: Hotel Balmoral
Three nights with the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell tour, the paella and tapas cooking class, the private tapas tour, and the Gothic Quarter. The cooking class is a strong third-day activity when the appetite for cultural visits has found its rhythm.
Hotel: NH Venezia Santa Lucia
Two nights with the gondola ride and the city's canals, piazzas, and bridges. The gondola is best on the back canals east of the Rialto rather than the Grand Canal — the atmosphere is more intimate and the pace genuinely unhurried.
Hotel: Amalia Hotel Athens
Two nights with the Acropolis walking tour and the Plaka, Monastiraki, and surrounding neighborhoods. The evening in the Plaka, with the Acropolis lit above, gives Athens the close it deserves on a short stay.
Hotel: Vencia Boutique Hotel
Two nights in Mykonos Town with the Mykonian farm experience, the beaches, and time in the island's backstreets before the day crowds arrive. The Vencia's position in the town center keeps the waterfront and the quieter lanes both on foot.
The best time to visit Portugal and Greece is from April to October, as both countries experience warm and sunny weather during these months. This period is ideal for a variety of outdoor activities, including city trips, beach vacations, and exploring historic sites. To avoid the peak summer crowds, consider traveling during the shoulder seasons of spring or fall.

Outstanding travel company—would book again anytime

Very friendly and knowledgeable advisor
Top travel company—we’d book again anytime. My travel consultant was very friendly: I shared what we had in mind, and she planned the trip for us. She was also able to make adjustments when something didn’t quite fit—everything went perfectly. Afterwards, customer service took care of us and was quick to help. The trip itself was a dream. It’s also worth mentioning that we had a local guide we could message with any questions. Excellent support, and the Tourlane app was perfect—everything we needed right at hand on our phone. Many thanks to everyone who supported us on this trip.
She listened carefully to all my wishes and ideas, gave me excellent advice, and made everything happen. All my questions were answered, and I feel very well taken care of. Thank you so much!
