Palma de Mallorca is rich in history and not at all dusty. Arab baths, royal palaces and imposing fortresses and castles take you back in time in an entertaining way.
The resort of Cala Ratjada offers everything a vacation destination needs: beautiful beaches, clear water and a good selection of hotels and restaurants. With the lighthouse and the Castello just a stone's throw away, there is also plenty to discover.
Alcúdia is a place steeped in history. The town was built around the year 900 by the Arab rulers. Travel back in time in the historic old town. Along the city wall, between Renaissance houses and Roman ruins, children can discover a lot in the footsteps of the Knights Templar.

The Costa Brava is one of the best addresses when it comes to beach vacations with children in Spain. The beach of Aiguablava scores points with families for its shallow and calm waters and nearby Blanes also has everything that families love: a safe beach, family-friendly bars and lots of water sports activities.
And if you're looking for more action, head to the Marineland water park. Figueres, on the other hand, attracts visitors with its colorful works by Salvador Dalí.
Andalusia is the perfect destination for a family trip during the fall vacations. The beaches are less crowded then, but the sun still shines reliably on the Costa del Sol.
A trip to Gibraltar is not only a good idea for the fish & chips, but also to watch the cheeky monkeys tampering with the English delicacies.
Gran Canaria welcomes you with sunshine and warm temperatures—around 68°F—even when it’s cold and gray elsewhere. It’s the perfect winter escape for families. Beyond its beautiful beaches, the island offers volcanic craters, natural geysers, and fascinating aboriginal caves like the Cuevas de Cuatro Puertas. Kids will also love running and playing in the vast sand dunes of Maspalomas.
Preparing children for a flight means minimizing anxiety and maximizing anticipation. Explain the process from check-in to landing in a playful way and visualize the adventure with books or videos about air travel. Emphasize exciting aspects such as flying above the clouds. Prepare a travel pack with favorite snacks, toys and comfortable clothes. Also explain that ears can tickle during take-off and landing and practice pressure equalization techniques in a playful way. Create a relaxed and joyful travel atmosphere.
Clothing: Light, breathable outfits, swimwear and headgear to protect you from the sun.
Sun protection: High-quality sun cream, after-sun lotion and UV protection
First-aid kit: General first-aid items, medicines suitable for children and any individual preparations required.
Toys: A few favorite games and books for entertainment during travel times and at the destination.
Snacks: Healthy, non-perishable snacks and drinking bottles, ideal for on the go and in between meals.
Documents: Passports, insurance cards and any necessary medical certificates, carefully stowed away.
Comfort items: Cuddly toys or special blankets to keep your children safe and secure while traveling.
Safety items: Possibly wrist leashes or identification bracelets for the little ones to ensure safety at all times.
A well-stocked first-aid kit is a must for a trip to Spain with children. Be sure to pack sunscreen with a high sun protection factor, after-sun lotion and a painkiller and antipyretic for the little ones. Plasters and disinfectant for minor injuries, insect repellent, remedies for travel sickness and any allergy medication you may need should also be included. Think of a cooling gel cream for insect bites and perhaps also electrolyte solutions against dehydration after possible gastrointestinal complaints.
While Spain offers many child-friendly destinations, places with an intense nightlife, such as certain areas of Ibiza or Magaluf, could be considered less suitable for families. Similarly, highly crowded tourist hotspots, such as the Ramblas in Barcelona, could be challenging with children. In general, regions that are not geared towards the needs of families and are better known for adult entertainment may be less suitable for a relaxed family vacation.
The best time for a family-friendly trip to Spain is from spring to early summer (April to June) and early fall (September to October). These periods avoid the sweltering summer heat and the hustle and bustle of high season, while offering pleasant temperatures and a child-friendly atmosphere.

You can rely on Tourlane
Tourlane responded well to our wishes when planning the trip. The organization of the trip with the various transfers was punctual and excellent. The hotels were well chosen and the support in the background and on site could not have been better.
Reliable from start to finish
Again and again with pleasure
Really very good from start to finish. I was a little skeptical at first, but I immediately felt that I was in very good hands. The consultants take a lot of time, respond to individual wishes and implement the desired goal excellently. All documents are available and can be viewed at any time, so there is always transparency from the outset. If there are any challenges, there is always someone available and working to find a solution. I couldn't have planned it any better or cheaper myself. In the event of small mishaps that can happen on the trip, the local circumstances are responsible and not the travel planners, who themselves then provide support.
The professionalism, friendliness and helpfulness of our consultant as well as the appealing form of presentation never fails to impress, especially because it is so easy to share all the planning steps with the whole family. Since I've known Tourlane, I honestly wouldn't set foot in a local travel agency again. It's not only a huge time saver, it's simply timely. Thank you!
