Ending in London rather than opening there is the structural decision that gives this circuit its momentum, and it's one I feel strongly about. You build from Mediterranean heat and ancient ruins toward the Thames, and the evening cruise with the city lit up makes for a strong closing image. The Chianti day from Florence works best when you drive the Chiantigiana south in the morning before Pisa in the afternoon; the vine terraces around Greve and the hilltop at Radda deliver Tuscany's agricultural identity in a way the Uffizi can only gesture toward. For the Santorini stay, book the sunset catamaran before any land-based activity; the light on the caldera from the water at that hour is the defining image of the island leg.

Day 4 - 5
Experience Rome, the bustling capital of Italy. This city, rich with exciting history and culture, offers an unparalled mix of ancient explorations and modern living. Immerse yourself in the past and explore the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Vatican. Wander through other must-see destinations like The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Pantheon. Experiencing the culinary scene is a delight, from traditional pasta to world-renowned Italian gelati. You can explore daily markets such as Campo de' Fiori for local ingredients and fresh food. A stay in Rome promises great experiences all year round, but it is advisable to take seasonality into account. While spring (April–May) and fall (September–October) offer pleasant weather and less crowds, summer (June–August) has a lively, spirited atmosphere — but can also be hot. No matter when you go, visiting Rome promises an unforgettable journey through the centuries. The unique combination of a rich historical past mixed into a thriving and vibrant modern community makes Italy's Eternal City one of the world's most intriguing and inspiring tourist destinations.

Create a customized tour of Rome’s must-see attractions. Settle into our comfortable double-decker pink buses and listen to the audio guide for a tour you will never forget. Spend as long as you like at each site with buses running every 15/20 minutes throughout the day.

Day 6 - 7
Florence, the beautiful capital of the Italian region Tuscany, lies in the center of the country. A small city with a big heart, and an even bigger offering of artistic and historical treasures. For centuries, travelers have journeyed to the birthplace of the Renaissance era to marvel at the many masterpieces of architecture and art: Michelangelo's iconic David, the impressive works of Botticelli, the Uffizi Gallery (packed with works by Caravaggio and Da Vinci), and of course, Brunelleschi's remarkable dome — the religious centerpiece of Florence that dominates the skyline. All are absolute must-sees on any itinerary. Once you've ticked off these renowned attractions, you can take a stroll through the vast Boboli Gardens or climb the hill to the church of San Miniato al Monte for a breathtaking view of this beautiful, enchanting city.

This walking tour will show the most fascinating and interesting places of Florence: Repubblica Square, the Cathedral with Brunelleschi’s Dome (exterior), the Baptistery with its famous Gates of Paradise (exterior), Signoria Square with its Palazzo Vecchio (exterior) and Loggia dei Lanzi.
Day 8 - 9
Dominating the Attica region of Greece, the country’s capital, Athens, is one of the oldest cities in the world. For over two and a half centuries, the astonishing Greek temples and monuments of Athens have continued to intrigue and amaze visitors from around the world. This icon of western civilization seamlessly combines ancient history with modern architecture and a surprisingly lively atmosphere. This is particularly apparent in areas at the foot of the Acropolis, Anafiotika, Plaka, Monastiraki, and Thissio where visitors will find numerous extraordinary Neoclassical buildings, trendy and traditional cafes, and shops, and narrow winding streets with historical treasures at every turn. Once you have enjoyed a history and art fix, try some mouth-watering Greek cuisine at one of the city’s fine local restaurants before indulging in the insatiable nightlife at the chic cocktail bars and waterfront dance clubs.

The tour begins in front of the Parliament in Syntagma Square where you will see the Monument of the Unknown Soldier and the change of the famous Guards. A pleasant walk will follow through the National Gardenand on to the Zappeion Hall, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's Arch. From here you will enter the Plaka area heading to the Acropolis and visit with your guide the Propylaea, the Temple of Nike, and the Parthenon, the monuments that remind us of the Glory of Ancient Athens and the Golden Age of Pericles. See also in the surrounding the Athenian Agora, the Observatory, the Hill of Democracy (Pnyx), Mars and Philoppapos Hill, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, and the Theater of Dionysus. At the end of the tour, and since you are so close, do not miss the opportunity to visit on your own the New Acropolis Museum.

Nicknamed the ‘Balcony to the Aegean’, Imerovigli is a captivating village on the northern coast of Santorini, set 3.5 kilometres from the island’s capital, Fira. This ancient settlement offers inspiring views of the volcano, caldera, and, at one time, approaching pirates. With its whitewashed structures topped by bright blue domes, cave house settlements, and network of walking paths, the town offers the quintessential Greek experience. Take the Ekklesia Theoskepasti hiking trail past the thirteenth-century ruins of the Skaros Venetian Fortress, or wander between the enthralling historic churches and cathedrals that dot the town (Ai-Stratis and the Monastery of Saint Nikolaos are particular highlights). An array of guided tours, trips out on the water, and top-notch shops, luxury spas, and highly-acclaimed restaurants complete the package.

We sail along the southern coastline of Santorini, admiring the island’s lunar-like landscape. At the picturesque Red Beach, passengers are welcome to dive into the crystalline waters for a refreshing swim or explore the vibrant seabed. We then continue toward White Beach, the Black Mountain, and the Lighthouse at the southern edge of the Caldera. The journey continues to the volcanic islands and the famous Hot Springs. While anchored, a delicious meal is served on board, accompanied by wine and dessert.

Barcelona opens with Mediterranean confidence before Rome's ancient density, Florence's Renaissance precision, the open sky of Athens, the Aegean light of Santorini, and finally London's layered modernity — a sequence that builds and shifts in register throughout. Two nights each across fourteen days demands focus at every stop, but the trip earns that discipline by covering different ground from one city to the next.
Three nights in Imerovigli before London is the strongest closing arc. The caldera, the catamaran cruise, the Oia sunset — and then suddenly the Thames. That contrast, arriving in London with the Aegean still in your memory, is one of the more striking transitions a two-week European trip can offer.
Hotel: Hotel Balmoral
Three nights with the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell tour on the first full day, the private tapas tour on the first evening, and the Gothic Quarter for the remaining time. The Hotel Balmoral sits in the Eixample, away from La Rambla's noise, which makes the evenings considerably more pleasant.
Hotel: Hotel Diana Roof Garden
The hop-on hop-off tour on arrival day handles the orientation. The Colosseum and Vatican each deserve a proper morning — give them separate days if the schedule allows. The piazzas and neighborhoods in between fill the evenings without needing to be planned.
Hotel: Hotel Kraft
The guided walking tour and the Tuscany excursion including Pisa give two nights in Florence genuine range. The Pisa cathedral square is more impressive than its reputation as a brief photo stop would suggest: the Duomo, the Baptistry, and the leaning tower together make a strong half-day when you're not in a hurry.
Hotel: Fresh Hotel
Two nights with the guided Acropolis visit on the first day and the neighborhoods on the second. The Fresh Hotel's rooftop pool with its direct Acropolis view is worth using for a drink at the close of the first day — the Parthenon lit against the early evening sky is the right way to close the day.
Hotel: Santorini Palace Hotel
Three nights on the caldera rim with the sunset catamaran cruise, the wine tasting and island tour, and a slow final morning. For Oia on the sunset visit, take the path toward the Byzantine castle ruins rather than the obvious main viewpoint: the crowd thins quickly once you leave it, and the view across the caldera is identical.
Hotel: H10 London Waterloo Hotel
Two nights on the South Bank. The evening Thames cruise with dinner is the right opening activity — the city seen from the water before you've walked it on foot is the most effective introduction. Westminster, the central landmarks, and the museums fill the remaining time naturally.
The best time to visit these countries depends on your preferences and what you plan to do. The shoulder seasons of spring and fall are generally recommended for pleasant weather and fewer crowds. Summer is ideal for beaches, but expect more visitors and higher prices.
