Full Day Tour: Stonehenge & Bath

Full Day Tour: Stonehenge & Bath

Discover two of England’s most iconic destinations on this unforgettable day trip from London: the ancient wonder of Stonehenge and the elegant city of Bath.

Your journey begins on Salisbury Plain, where the mysterious stone circle of Stonehenge has stood for over 5,000 years. With insights from your expert guide, uncover the legends and theories surrounding this prehistoric monument. At the visitor center, explore a fascinating exhibit featuring over 250 ancient artifacts, including Neolithic tools and the remains of early settlers.

Next, travel through scenic countryside to Bath, a city known for its Georgian charm and Roman heritage. Stroll past landmarks like Bath Abbey and the picturesque Pulteney Bridge, and soak in the atmosphere of its honey-colored buildings and historic streets.

Another highlight of the tour is a visit to the Roman Baths, one of the best-preserved Roman sites in Europe. Step back in time as you explore the Great Bath, marvel at ancient treasures like the Haruspex Stone and the gilt-bronze head of the goddess Sulis Minerva, and learn about the sacred springs that have attracted visitors for centuries.

This full-day tour blends history, culture, and stunning sights—a perfect way to experience the heart of England.

Rome

Day 4 - 5

Experience Rome, the bustling capital of Italy. This city, rich with exciting history and culture, offers an unparalled mix of ancient explorations and modern living. Immerse yourself in the past and explore the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Vatican. Wander through other must-see destinations like The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Pantheon. Experiencing the culinary scene is a delight, from traditional pasta to world-renowned Italian gelati. You can explore daily markets such as Campo de' Fiori for local ingredients and fresh food. A stay in Rome promises great experiences all year round, but it is advisable to take seasonality into account. While spring (April–May) and fall (September–October) offer pleasant weather and less crowds, summer (June–August) has a lively, spirited atmosphere — but can also be hot. No matter when you go, visiting Rome promises an unforgettable journey through the centuries. The unique combination of a rich historical past mixed into a thriving and vibrant modern community makes Italy's Eternal City one of the world's most intriguing and inspiring tourist destinations.

A short distance from San Gimignano, crossing the gently Chianti rolling hills, a short ride will take you to a cozy Winery, where you can relax and enjoy the fantastic world of Chianti with its wine and typical products: tasting of three fine wines and balsamic vinegar followed by a Chianti style lunch: 3 course with “zero food miles” products which ends with "cantucci e vin santo". Venice

Day 9 - 10

Venice is a small, unique city in Italy’s Veneto region, a historic center made up of 118 small islands in a lagoon of the Adriatic Sea, connected by a complex network of canals and footbridges. The stately palaces and ancient churches remain as fascinating reminders of what was once a major trading hub between Europe and the Orient. From the famous Gothic Doge’s Palace and the breathtaking St. Mark’s Basilica to the awe-inspiring brilliance of Titian’s Assumption altarpiece lighting up an entire cathedral, Venice has remained virtually unchanged for the past 600 years. Other must-see attractions include the Bridge of Sighs, the spectacular Peggy Guggenheim Collection (art gallery), the captivating Gallerie dell’Accademia (museum), and of course, gondola rides along the canals.

 Walking Tour of Venice

Walking Tour of Venice

Begin your exploration in the heart of the city: St. Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco), Venice’s most iconic and vibrant space. Framed by elegant arcades and open to the sky and sea, this square has witnessed centuries of processions, politics, and pageantry. Known as “the drawing room of Europe,” it remains the symbolic center of Venetian life.

Dominating the eastern end of the square is the magnificent St. Mark’s Basilica & Baptistery. A stunning example of Byzantine architecture, the basilica dazzles with its five great domes and thousands of square meters of golden mosaics. Built to house the relics of Saint Mark, it represents the city’s religious devotion and ties to the East. Attached is the serene Baptistery, a sacred space where early Venetians were initiated into the faith amidst intricate carvings and ancient icons.

Beside the basilica rises the grand Ducal Palace (Palazzo Ducale), once the residence of the Doge and the seat of Venice’s government. This Gothic masterpiece served as the political heart of the Venetian Republic for centuries. Its opulent chambers, grand staircases, and masterpieces by Titian and Tintoretto tell the story of a city built on diplomacy, power, and artistic glory. Don't miss the famous Bridge of Sighs, connecting the palace to the old prisons—a poignant passageway of justice and fate.

Leaving the bustling square behind, wander through quieter alleys to discover Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo—a majestic and solemn square known as the “Pantheon of Venice.” Here stands the Basilica of Saints John and Paul, the largest church in the city and the burial place of 25 Doges. This imposing Gothic structure is filled with impressive tombs, stained glass, and artworks, reflecting the deep religious and civic pride of Venice. The square is also home to the striking Renaissance equestrian statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni, a tribute to one of Venice’s greatest military leaders.
