The best time to visit Corfu is between May and October, when the weather is warm and sunny. During these months, you can enjoy the island's beautiful beaches and breathtaking scenery in the best summer weather. July and August are peak season on Corfu and the island is therefore very busy. This means that prices can be higher and accommodation can book up quickly.
If you are looking for more peace and quiet, spring from late April/early May to June or fall from September to October are good times to visit. It should be noted, however, that the weather can be a little more unpredictable in the fall and that many tourist attractions may no longer be open. In winter, Corfu becomes cool and wet and very quiet in terms of tourism.

Corfu has a classic Mediterranean climate, with mild, humid winters and hot, dry summers. Spring and fall are pleasantly warm without the intense heat of midsummer. In summer, average temperatures reach about 86°F, while winter temperatures rarely drop below 50°F. The months from June to September are typically the driest and sunniest, ideal for beach time and outdoor activities. From October to May, rainfall becomes more frequent, and the island’s mountains may even see occasional snowfall.

The high season on Corfu is usually from July to August. During these months, the weather is usually sunny and hot and most tourists visit the island to enjoy the beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and sights of Corfu. There are many events and activities during the high season, but prices rise and the beaches and sights are very crowded.

The low season on Corfu is usually the months of May, June, September and October. The weather is still very pleasant during this time, not too hot and not too cold, and there are fewer tourists on the island. This means that the prices for accommodation and activities are lower than in the main tourist season. You can therefore explore the island at your leisure and enjoy the nature, beaches and sights.

The low season on Corfu is in the winter months, from around November to April, when the weather is cooler and rainier. Many hotels, restaurants and stores are closed or have limited opening hours. Compared to the high season, however, you can benefit from lower prices for accommodation and activities in the low season and enjoy absolute peace and quiet. However, if you want to go on a beach vacation, the low season with cool weather is not necessarily the best choice.

In spring, between March and May, the temperatures are mild and there are many wildflowers and green landscapes to admire - ideal for hiking on Corfu. In autumn, between September and November, the weather is usually still pleasantly warm and the landscapes are particularly beautiful in their warm colors. The hiking trails are also less frequented during these seasons than in summer, so you can enjoy your hikes on the island in peace.

The best time for diving and snorkeling on Corfu is from June to September. This is when the water is at its warmest and visibility underwater is at its best. The sea is usually very calm - ideal conditions for water sports. During the winter months, the sea can be very choppy and the water can get cold, so it is not ideal for diving and snorkeling trips.

The best time for sailing around Corfu is typically from May to October, when the weather is stable and the sea conditions are calm. During the summer, temperatures range between 77°F and 86°F, and the winds are usually light and consistent—ideal for relaxed, scenic cruising. Sailing in Corfu is not recommended in winter, as the weather becomes unstable and the water temperatures drop significantly.
