When is the best time to visit Lake Como?
Between May and September, the weather on Lake Como is warm and sunny and these months are considered the best time to visit. This is when you can enjoy the pleasant temperatures and numerous activities in the fresh air, water sports such as sailing, boat trips or city walks.
In the summer months, however, especially during the summer vacations, it gets quite crowded. In spring, temperatures can still be cool at night and there is sometimes rain, but this time of year is perfect for hiking. The landscape is also wonderful to enjoy in the fall. In winter, it gets chilly at the lake and many of the attractions are now closed for the winter. However, those who travel in winter will find cozy winter markets in the towns and can go skiing in the nearby mountains.
